2006 Sonoma Coast Estate Vineyard Syrah
Classic northern Rhone white pepper, violets and subtle meat smoke notes assert themselves in the initial bouquet. Ripe berry aromas tinged by vanilla emerge with greater aeration. The palate is dominated by lush, dark fruit notes that are poised against broad and sweet spice elements. Prominent acid and tannin features in the finish suggest that the wine will age gracefully for a minimum of 5-8 years, although its ample texture already makes it a fine accompaniment for richer fare now.

2005 Sonoma Coast Hurst Vineyard Pinot Noir
Lively berry/red fruit elements dominate the initial bouquet. After modest aeration, the wine opens up to fuller oriental spice and plum notes, a light toasty/sweet oak element, and a sense of fully ripe fruit. The wine’s fine acid structure is well integrated, and the ample mid-palate texture joins with it to lend balance and tone.
